Waynoka Trophy Auction Sets a New Record

By Alivia Seaman, Waynoka FFA Reporter

On Monday, January 15th, the Waynoka 4-H and FFA Booster Club held their annual trophy auction. We had a great turnout and an amazing amount of support shown. The auction raised over $85,000, which stands as a record for years passed. The money raised through the live auction pays for the Waynoka Local Stock Show and prizes awarded and walk-in money for each showman that meets criteria.  The silent auction money raised will help pay for judging, horseshow and archery entry fees, lodging and meals for contests and livestock judging practices.  This year we added a new competition to our local stock show.  There will be a baking contest and money raised on certain baked goods at the trophy auction will pay for those prizes. On behalf of the Waynoka FFA Chapter I would like to say thank you to those that worked so hard to make the auction so successful and thank you to all our amazing supporters. Please come out to the Waynoka Local Stock Show and support our students on February 3rd. 2024 at 10 AM.
